The birthday celebration is a time-honored tradition, one that begs for creativity and surprise. Many just go with the formalities of bringing a cake, buying a card, and throwing some money into an envelope. But that’s not good enough in modern times, especially for friends that have known each other for a long time. The birthday celebration should be far greater and far larger than simple ideas, budget permitting. Consider the following creative birthday ideas to celebrate with friends.
Paintball – Ever wanted to get the aggression out that might exist amongst friends? Here is your chance to shine. No one is going to peg this idea as uncreative, but it does require a sense of strength. If you’re not one for playful violence, this might not be the option to explore, but if you’re up for adventure, this can be a great idea. There’s nothing quite like hitting your friends with paintballs.
Pizza Party – Remember the classic pizza party days? You know the times, when you were a kid and you didn’t have to worry about the world around you because there was so much pizza you couldn’t even finish it all? Well that can be relived again. Find a location, order a lot of pizza, and party like you’re 8 years old again. No need for fancy things, single topping, thin crust, and paper plates, now that’s a good time.
Karaoke – Why not have some adult fun and move into a karaoke location and sing your favorite tunes. For some this might not sound so fun, but mix some drinks add a lot of friends and progressively get worse (or better) on the microphone.
Burrito Challenge – If you have a friend who loves to eat, this idea will drive them wild. Find the biggest, baddest burrito in your town and challenge your buddy to take it on. In fact, get all your pals involved and everyone take on the burrito challenge as if there were no tomorrow! For those that aren’t big on Mexican food, consider getting some other large food item, and going for the glory of polishing it off.
The above 4 ideas are creative birthday ideas for friends that can be completed with minimal preparation. There are so many other things that can make the special day far more special. For instance, you could jump out of a plane together, or climb a mountain. Do anything but the traditional cake and ice cream, have some fun. Life is far too short to stay in the doldrums of a random get together, have a grand old time and enjoy the company. Food, drinks, singing, and even paintball can all be a fantastic blast. Birthdays only come once a year, so make them count.
