Why do you not choose among the array of pleasant activities that are available for your youngster’s birthday festivities? An over the top tea party, circus, his no. 1 fairytale, rock band performance, or a pirate frigate?
Nothing can be more exciting and fun than the birthday party of your child. This situation needs good planning and imaginative thinking. Don’t be afraid to explore new themes that incorporate unique birthday ideas that both your child and his or her guests will remember for years to come. Here are several wonderful suggestions you can consider.
Wild party where tea is served
Allow your daughter to experience the good things in life at her own tea party. The mad tea party in Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, is a great way to inspire quirky fun. You can set children’s tables on the lawn or garden and decorate them with fancy tablecloths and an assortment of colorful teacups, saucers, teapots and flowers. You might seat some stuffed animals and/or dolls around the table or in various chairs. Give the kids a fancy tea party with small sandwiches and cakes.
Circus
Circuses can be considered the pinnacle of joyful entertainment. So why not such an event for your offspring’s anniversary? Do you like to plan parties or big events, especially for your children? Go all out and rent a big top circus tent. Hire fire breathers, clowns, and acrobats to keep everyone entertained. You can also set up arcade games where the kids can play and win prizes. Make the invitations resemble circus tickets for a creative flair.
Favorite fairytale
If your child is fond of fairytales or has one that he or she considers a personal favorite, you can use it as a theme and setting for the party. For instance if your child is fond of Snow White, use imagery from the Disney version of the fairytale to decorate the invitations, venue and even the food. Another option is to think of games related to that certain fairytale.
Rock concert
Echo your child’s love for music with his or her own rock concert-themed party. Make the invitations for the party resemble rock concert tickets. Let your child put on a rock star outfit consisting of a leather jacket, boots and crazy colored hair. In addition, you might ask the invited guests to do this as well. The walls can be plastered with posters and your child could be posing like a rock star while the venue can be set up like a concert. The celebrant and the party guests can try to play the kid-sized musical instruments that you have bought or rented.
Looting ship
You can also recreate your child’s fondness of characters such as Sinbad the Sailor, or the Pirates of the Carribbean. If you can afford it, you can buy a yacht and decorate it so that it looks like a pirate ship; or you can simply design a room to look like the inside of a pirate ship. Barrels, anchors, fishing nets, skulls and crossbones flags can be used to decorate. Ask your child and his or her guests to dress up as pirates and hand out pirate eye patches for everyone. An example of a children’s game you could try is a scavenger hunt.
There are many unique ways to celebrate your child’s birthday, but the most important thing is that both of you enjoy the occasion together.
